Dirk Jacobs is Deputy Director General and Director in charge of Consumer Information, Nutrition and Health issues at FoodDrinkEurope. Mr Jacobs represents FoodDrinkEurope at global level in multilateral fora such as the UN, FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius, OECD and FAO, and in various EU platforms. Besides external representation and association management, he co-ordinates the European food industry’s positions on, amongst others, the EU Farm to Fork Strategy. Mr Jacobs is a Dutch national and holds an MSc in International Business Administration at Maastricht University, studied international economics in Milan, Italy, and has a post-graduate MBA in European (Business) Studies. FoodDrinkEurope is the organisation for Europe's food and drink manufacturing industry, Europe's largest manufacturing sector in terms of turnover, employment and value added.
