Ambassador Grace Asirwatham was a member of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service with thirty-five years of proven career track record as a diplomat and an international civil servant. She has served as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Nepal and the Netherlands and in other positions in Pakistan and Germany. Ambassador Asirwatham held the position of Deputy Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague for four years. She is holding the position of Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Belgium, Luxembourg, and Head of Mission to the European Union since June 2019. Her last post in Sri Lanka was Secretary to the State Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
