H.E. Ambassador Hirut Zemene is currently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Belgium, Luxembourg and EU Institutions. She is a top and well experienced diplomat, who has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia as well as Ethiopian Missions abroad for over 28 years in different capacities starting from junior officer to the level of State Minister for Foreign Affairs. She has contributed her part building sustainable peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and the wider region.
