Daniel Attard is a Maltese Member of the European Parliament with the S&D Group, serving on the Transport and Tourism (TRAN) Committee. He focuses on sustainable tourism, connectivity, and regional development, with a particular interest in small and island states. Attard is Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with Iran (D-IR) and works on industry, research and energy dossiers as part of broader EU competitiveness and cohesion priorities. Attard worked at the Permanent Mission of Malta to the United Nations in Geneva, and at Malta’s Permanent Representation to the European Union. He served as government spokesperson for Foreign and European Affairs, as well as Malta’s Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom in 2021-2022.
