Property developer ION and the Flemish investment company Participatie Maatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV) have reached an agreement with the hotel group Martin’s Hotels to redevelop the historical Panquin site in Tervuren. The 3.7 hectares of the former military barracks at the Panquin site in Tervuren will be restored starting in the spring of 2021.
The developer ION and the investment company PMV have drawn up a project for the rehabilitation of this unique site, for which the planning permission has just been approved. The project foresees among other things the development of private housing and a hotel run by the chain of Martin’s Hotels.
“We are very excited that we have been able to seize another top location,” said John Martin, CEO of Martin’s Hotels. “This beautiful piece of heritage matches perfectly the style of the Martin’s Hotels.”
The Martin’s Panquin will be a 4-star hotel with 108 rooms, meeting and banqueting rooms, a restaurant and a bar, as well as fitness centre and an underground parking.
