Chinese-headquartered tech firm Anker Innovations has revealed the latest must-have summer accessory, aimed at ensuring you and your electronic devices are all beach ready in 2025. The Solix Solar Beach Umbrella, debuted recently at the world’s biggest consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, will not only keep you sheltered from the elements when you’re out and about but will charge a range of devices, from cell phones to beer fridges.
Suitable for variable light conditions
With up to 100 watts of power available to portable devices plugged in via USB-C or XT-60 battery connector, the umbrella differentiates itself from other solar umbrellas on the market thanks to its perovskite solar cells. Anker claims these perform 30% better than traditional crystalline silicon solar cells in bright light, and are twice as efficient in low light, meaning that even in variable sunshine or as you get ready to sip your sundowner, you won’t be at risk of running out of juice whether it’s for your smartphone, tablet, camera, or another gadget – and you won’t have to leave your spot in the shade to keep yourself powered.
“With 100W maximum solar input and 100W XT-60/USB-C output, you will be worry-free,” the company promises. It also makes a big deal of the potential sustainability gains the umbrella offers as its solar energy helps to reduce pollution and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Beer fridge on wheels
That said, Anker makes no bones about inciting a little more consumer spending. Why not buy its second generation EverFrost electric cooler as a complementary purchase, it suggests in press materials. The fridge is easily transported on wheels (though quite how they roll on golden sands is another question) and comes in 23L, 40L, and 58L sizes, while its battery provides up to 52 hours of usage on a single charge. Additional batteries can be purchased for extended power backup.
Running simply off the blazing sun on your umbrella, you’ll have everything you need to refresh yourself during your vacation or while relaxing in the garden at home. And if the weather does change and you’re hit by rain or a dust cloud, the umbrella has customers covered, Anker says. With an IP67 dust- and water-resistance rating, it’s suitable for use in both sunny and wet conditions.
No official retail price for the Solix Solar Beach Umbrella has yet been announced, but it is expected to hit the market in the coming months for the spring or summer seasons of 2025.
