Italy is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, if not the entire world. And now it is easier and faster than ever to reach all of these places, thanks to the new high-speed train that runs almost the entire length of Italy, from Genoa to Naples and back.
Italo’s new route is about 80 minutes faster than any alternative, taking just 6 hours and 40 minutes to make the journey between the two cities, with stops in Milan, Florence, Bologna and Rome. The new alternative is puts Italo in direct competition with the state-owned Trenitalia and travellers are more than thankful for the choices.
The itinerary is quite convenient, with daily return trips between Genova Piazza Principe and Napoli Centrale. The train is scheduled to leave Genoa at 6:14 in the morning and reach Naples at 12:53, while the return leaves Naples at 16:20 and returns to Genoa at 23:09. The tickets start at €50, depending on dates and the preferred travel option.
There are four available travel options: Smart – the most basic option, with reclining leather seats and wi-fi on board, Prima – with the addition of a welcome service, Club Executive – ensures extra-large seating, free drinks and snacks on board, a selection of newspapers and magazines, a 9″ screen entertainment unit, as well as access to the Italo Lounge Club in stations, and the Salotto – “Italo’s most exclusive ambiance”.
