Sit back, relax and enjoy a delicious piece of homemade sourdough bread with local Swedish butter, some strawberry jam from this year’s red, vibrant harvest and inhale the fresh air of the countryside. Later on, there will be some energising yoga, maybe a walk in the woods and a generous dinner in the evening, of course. Where you can get all this, you’re asking? During the Food & Yoga Experience that I’m organising on 11-13 September close to Stockholm, Sweden.
The weekend-event will be taking place in the very charming, family run bed & breakfast hotel Runnviken, which we will be taking over for three whole days. With ‘we’ I mean Dag, who is a yoga teacher and who will be guiding you through several yoga sessions and some theory behind it; and me, Kaja, who will make all the food for you: breakfast, lunch, dinner and what’s life without snacks.

Unlike during the usual yoga events, I’m not going to put you on a diet. There won’t be clean food, raw food, smoothie cleanses, or whatever else there is out in the wild world of yoga and workout. I’m making honest and real food, delicious food that makes you happy and that makes you want to refill your plate without feeling guilty about it either. My cooking is seasonal and regional and I will be using the fresh ingredients from the B&B’s garden, eggs from their hens and meat from farms in the area. If you’re a vegetarian, that’s no problem, I love cooking with vegetables only and am happy to accommodate you.
Shakshuka with pomegranate molasses, Grilled zucchini bread with halloumi and tomato jam, Crunchy zucchini salad with toasted hazelnuts and burrata, A fresh sandwich with goat cheese, roasted summer vegetables & a herby sauce, A colourful tomato ginger tarte, Soy and miso glazed salmon with an apple cucumber salad, or Pulled Harissa aubergine on homemade fresh brioche buns with feta. All these dishes could be part of a late summer menu during the Food & Yoga experience in September.
Of course, there will be plenty of yoga as well. Together with Dag, you will start your day with a morning yoga flow on a small bridge by the water, where you can perfectly watch the sunrise. After breakfast, there will be more Yoga and meditation, a lecture and even more yoga in the afternoon and meditation in the evening.

We’re flexible! You’re more interested in food than in yoga? No problem, join me in the kitchen and watch & help me prepare the food. I might even organise a cooking class if there’s interest. You’re more of a yoga person? That’s perfect, Dag will be there all day to help you with questions and there will be plenty of yoga sessions.
The plan was to organise this Food & Yoga Experience already in May, but then Covid-19 came and we had to reschedule. Now, we’re really looking forward to organising this fun experience in mid-September, when the weather in Sweden is still lovely. We are of course following recommendations by the health authorities and will apply all measures of hygiene and caution.

You can book the whole experience here. In case of travel restrictions due to Covid-19, we will be reimbursing the whole amount of course. All other conditions can be found here on our website.
Join us on this exciting and fun experience, we can’t wait to meet you!
