There is already a date for the anticipated opening of another hotel with the name and imprint of Portuguese football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is associated with the hotel chain Pestana. It has been announced that on Monday June 7th the “soft” opening of the new hotel Pestana CR7 Gran VĂa Madrid will take place.
The Pestana CR7 Gran VĂa Madrid draws attention for its location and the visual impact of the building. The hotel has revived an imposing building from the 1920s, which has since undergone a complete renovation. The work has allowed the space to have all the amenities, luxury and comfort, while maintaining its original design. It’s reminiscent of Madrid’s golden age, yet bearing the player’s style.

The hotel has 168 rooms in the heart of Madrid’s busy Gran VĂa, and its goal is to attract tourists from all over the world as well as business travelers and even local citizens. This is the first hotel under the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels banner – the connection between the national group and Cristiano Ronaldo – to open outside Portugal, after the successes in Lisbon and Funchal.
The first guests are expected to arrive on June 7th and reservations are already available online. The different room types in the hotel range from Cabin to Cabin View, Superior, Superior View, Superior Balcony, Superior View Balcony, Deluxe View and CR7 Estudio. The price for a single room starts at 90€ (for the Cabin).
On floor 9, the CR7 has the project’s gastronomic offer, which includes a sports bar, a pizzeria and the only rooftop with a 360Âş view of the Spanish capital with a swimming pool. The hotel has a fitness box and promotes a wide program of training and sports activities. On Monday May 31st, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a post via his Instagram account confirming the opening.
The Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels brand was created in 2015 with the launch of the Pestana CR7 Funchal, on the island of Madeira, where DionĂsio Pestana and Cristiano Ronaldo are originally from. This was followed by the opening of the Pestana CR7 Lisboa.
After Madrid, the cities of New York, Marrakech, Paris and Manchester will be next on the list of additions. Each hotel seeks to have an individual concept with a focus on fun, technology, health, sports, wellness and trends for both travelers and locals.
