An essential skill when driving is to know the size of your car. Knowing how long your vehicle is makes parking somewhat easier, whilst knowing how wide it is can help you to avoid getting stuck. This may sound ridiculous, and of course most people manage this fine, but a video uploaded by SupercarNews on YouTube shows one driver who could do with a reminder!
The footage shows the driver of a silver Ferrari Roma who found themselves in a tight situation, quite literally, for not knowing the width of their car. It is not know exactly what happened, but it seems that they thought that the Ferrari was narrower than a tight Italian street, which it apparently was not.
The Roma, which measures 197.4cm wide and 465.6cm long, appears to be wedged between the walls of a typically small street somewhere in Italy. It is also unknown whether the two-door sports car received any damage, but it’s pretty likely that the result wasn’t great.
The Roma coupe was named after the Italian capital and was presented at the end of 2019. The model is based on the chassis of the Portofino coupe-cabriolet, with the same 3.9-liter V8 engine with two turbines, and acceleration to 60 mph takes 3.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 200 mph.
