Italian studio Gabriele Teruzzi Yachts & Design has revealed the concept design for the Stella del Sud superyacht, inspired by the 128.48 carat Star of the South diamond, currently owned by Cartier. Besides the sleek design and aesthetic, the yacht comes with a helipad, cinema and no less than three pools that create a waterfall effect.
It is not just the name that Teruzzi borrowed from the famous diamond, but the entire vessel is designed to resemble the precious stone. The 110-metre-long yacht has sharp lines, giving it the aspect of the gem, and a “spectacular side window glass design that connects all decks”, the panels of which are positioned in such a way that they always reflect light, giving the ship a constant diamond like sparkle.
The long foredeck is equipped with a helipad and lounge area specially thought for entertaining guests. The main deck features a piano lounge area, a gym, no less that 8 VIP cabins and a luxurious open beach bar inspired by the Royal Palace of Caserta.
One of the yacht’s stand out features are the 3 swimming pools. They are placed on different levels of the ship, but they are connecting, forming what the designer calls a waterfall effect. The rain curtain, which separates the inside and outside areas, lights up at night to offer a truly magical experience.
The 325 square metre sun deck has another lounge area, as well as a hot tub and an outdoor dining area.
The owner’s suite is just as impressive and luxurious as the rest of the vessel. It takes up most of the space of the bridge deck, being fitted with separate bathrooms for the happy couple enjoying their yacht. There are also separate walk-in wardrobes to ensure nobody fights over the shelf space. The suite is decorated with a slat wall and a hanging aquarium installed over the bed.
Although the Stella del Sud is currently just a concept, Teruzzi has received a lot of attention. The team at Gabriele Teruzzi Yachts & Design have not divulged any future prospects, but it is very likely the superyacht will hit the water soon.
