For most of us, the holidays have officially started by now. School’s done, the kids are at home and you yourself have got a bit of time off as well if all’s right. But even though it’s amazing to spend some quality time with your family, it can be a challenging time as well. With so much free time it’s difficult to come up with new activity ideas time and time again. And children have a tendency to get bored pretty quickly… So what to do?
Chances are, you’ve already assembled some ideas beforehand. The local swimming pool is always a good choice, as are the playground and maybe even the tennis court. That’ll keep you busy for a few days but then what? At home, you can let the creative juices flow freely and get the pencils, paint and clay out of the closet. Again, perfect to spend a day at home but most kids won’t want to do this day in and day out. A little hike somewhere close by is great if your kids are already a bit older – because when it’s hot, you don’t want to have to carry them all the way. We get it. And then?
Fun for all
Well, amusement parks are probably one of the most exciting activities for a kid to do. Some of them might not like it at all but if you’ve got a bit of a thrill seeker at home, it’ll be a day they’ll never forget. Most amusement parks cater to all tastes and ages but of course, having a look at the website never hurts. Especially if your kid is still young or rather small, checking up on which attractions they may or may not go on is advisable if you don’t want any bad surprises.
Are you still unsure about which amusement park you want to go to? Maybe you want to combine a visit with a vacation you’ve got planned already or that you’re about to book? Great news, because TripAdvisor has just shared their top 10 of the world’s best amusement parks. The ranking is based on visitors’ opinions so normally, it should give you a rather good idea of which parks are or aren’t great. Siam Park has once again – for the eighth year in a row already – been voted the world’s best. Certainly worth a trip if you ask us!
