On 27 November, the grand opening ceremony of the 30th Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF 2025), “Tourism on the Silk Road”, took place at the CAEx International Exhibition Center.
The fair is organised by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National PR Centre, and Interforum. This year, the Tashkent International Tourism Fair is being hosted at the CAEx International Exhibition Center Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan.
The TITF is a major information event that promotes tourism products and facilitates the creation of new business contacts. Over the past three decades, it has established itself as one of the most significant events in the tourism sector and remains the largest event of its kind in Central Asia. It is held annually with the official support of UN Tourism.
The opening ceremony of TITF 2025 was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Umid Shadiyev, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Vakhrukov, the Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurtas Karipbaev, the Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Juma Khonzoda, and the newly elected Secretary General of UN Tourism, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, who joined by video message. Representatives of both local and international organisations, participants of the fair, and members of the media were also present.

On the first day of the fair, two sessions took place with leading international and national experts on the themes “Cultural heritage and tourism traditions for the future” and “Innovative routes and new travel experiences”. Several private projects were also presented.
As part of the fair, a large tourism exhibition will feature representatives from more than 300 companies worldwide. The programme also includes an international culinary championship with renowned chefs, where more than 200 culinary experts from over 30 countries will compete. A Media Campus will serve as an interactive platform for journalists, bloggers, and tourism promotion specialists.
Thematic forums and sessions will explore aviation, education, environmental issues, and pilgrimage, with participation from leading international and domestic tourism experts. The fair will also host B2B meetings between private companies from different countries, round table discussions, and exhibitions showcasing tourism services and handicrafts.
TITF 2025 is expected to welcome up to 15,000 visitors, including locals and guests from CIS countries, Asia, and Europe. Visitors and participants will have a unique opportunity to discover new travel destinations, immerse themselves in the culture and traditions of foreign countries, and explore the tourism potential of all regions of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the reforms carried out in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan in recent years have helped attract major companies and representative offices to the country, increased both incoming and outgoing passenger flows, and strengthened demand for all types of tourism services.
