While there is no lack of material online in 2026, it can still be tricky to choose what to watch next. Because while some series are top-notch, others are just a waste of time and not worth the while. In order to make the choice a little easier, we selected 10 binge-worthy new or returning TV series for 2026.
The Pitt (Season 2)
Although the first season of The Pitt only appeared in 2025, a sequel is already being released. The real-time emergency room medical drama, set at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, will focus wholly on the fourth of July and will bring some summertime emergencies to the otherwise chilly month of January.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
A lot has been written and speculated about the new Game of Thrones spin-off inspired on George R. R. Martin’s novella The Huge Knight but in January 2026, the public will finally get to see what it is all about. Spectators will be following Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg up close in an era approximately one venture before the whole Game of Thrones adventure. Perfect for fans of House of the Dragon who just can’t get enough.

Shrinking (Season 3)
Once again, actor Jason Segel will be taking up the role of the grieving counselor Jimmy Laird in the third season of Shrinking. While the series is closely connected with Ted Lasso due to its cast and writers (Brett Goldstein, amongst others), the tone is quite different but therefore not less pleasant to watch.

Bridgerton (Season 4)
After three hugely successful seasons, Bridgerton no longer needs an introduction. The regency romance has lost none of its costume-clad sense of drama in the fourth season, which will be released in two parts. This time, the story will mainly revolve around Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek’s romance.

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast
While How to Get to Heaven from Belfast is an entirely new series, it is one that many fans of Derry Girls have been waiting for for a long time. Once again, Lisa McGee finds her inspiration in the history of her home territory, skilfully interweaving humor and darkness.
Streaming platform: Netflix
Euphoria (Season 3)
After an absence of four years, Euphoria is back for a third round. In the series, time hasn’t stood still either – five years on, the characters are living an entirely different life, spread across the continent, and the cast is joined by no other than Rosalía.
Streaming platform: HBO Max
The Testaments
The Handmaid’s Tale may have ended, but the Margaret Atwood universe has not yet drawn its last breath. The Testaments is based on the author’s novel from 2019 and forms the sequel to the popular series, taking place fifteen years later and narrated by Aunt Lydia. Once again, spectators will be travelling towards a dystopian universe, and it promises to be just as shocking as before.
Streaming platform: Hulu
Blue Planet (Season 3)
David Attenborough will be celebrating his 100th birthday in May 2026, and what better way to do so than by creating another series of Blue Planet? Nature enthusiasts and other curious minds will once again be travelling towards the depths of the Earth, while Attenborough is expected to speak his mind about environmental change like never before.

Half Man
Richard Gadd, writer and chief cast member of Baby Reindeer, has been at it again. Two years after the launch of the cult series, he is set to release Half Man. While little is known so far about the new pictures, Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell will be playing the lead roles, and allegedly, the series will tell the story of two brothers. Only the future will tell the rest of the plot.

Rivals (Season 2)
The first season of Rivals, based on the 1988 novel by Jilly Cooper, dates back to 2024, and 2026 should bring a much-awaited sequel. Just like the first, the second season will not be fit to watch for those who can’t stand a little nudity, attitude, and scheming.
Streaming platform: Disney+
With a mix of eagerly awaited returns and promising new series, 2026 offers something for every kind of viewer. The only real challenge will be deciding what to watch first.
