Many countries across the world have begun to ease travel restrictions and reopen their borders, and some have decided to welcome tourists from the US.
The United States has been hit hard by the coronavirus; however, some countries are delaying their decision to accept American visitors.
Are Americans allowed to travel?
Yes. Even though the U.S. government has a level-4 “Avoid All Travel” advisory in place, Americans are allowed to leave the country as they wish. Upon return, some travelers may face a 14-day quarantine, depending on the state where they reside. Some states have no quarantine requirements.
Rules continue to change, and some destinations may close to American tourists without notice. Potential travelers ought to check with local authorities before booking a trip to ensure entry.
