A penguin being chased by a pod of killer whales made a lucky escape thanks to a convenient nearby tourist boat.
A video originally published by Youtuber Expert Vagabond in December 2019 has resurfaced this week and features the lucky penguin.
In order to avoid being lunch, the clever gentoo penguin escaped by jumping onto the boat of nearby tourists who were whale watching in the Gerlache Strait of Antarctica.
The tourists, delighted, watched as the penguin made a couple of attempts to join them, before succeeding and sitting in their boat alongside them.
Once the coast was clear, the penguin made a neat hop off the end of the boat and was off again into the sea.
