This Christmas will be a different one. Due to lockdowns, travel restrictions and social distancing measures, it won’t be easy to reconnect with our friends and family. This is why Finland, the world’s happiest country, is helping people all around the globe to reach out to their loved ones.
This year, Santa Claus, Finland’s most famous resident, will be your messenger! Say it with Santa is the new Christmas initiative launched by Visit Finland, the official National Tourism Organization of the Nordic country.
During this difficult time, Visit Finland wants to help people reconnect with their loved ones by sending them Christmas wishes and warm thoughts.
The idea is simple: You just have to write down your message and Santa will read it for you in a video. All video messages will be published on the official YouTube account of Visit Finland at the beginning of December. The initiative is open to anybody around the world!
As the initiative is receiving many applications, it will not be possible to read out all messages. In the upcoming weeks, Santa and his elves will go through the applications and choose the ones that will be turned into video messages. If your message gets selected, Santa will send the video to your personal email and will upload it to the official YouTube channel within December 13th.
If this time your message won’t be selected, you will still have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus live on Visit Finland’s official social media profiles on December 11st. If you wish, you can also apply for a private chat with him!
Save the dates!
November 18-29: Write down what you want to say and to whom or apply for a private one-to-one session with Santa.
November 30-December 6: Santa Claus and his elves will pick the messages that will be published on the YouTube channel.
December 7-13: Santa will send you the video to your personal email and upload it on YouTube.
December 11: Don’t miss the opportunity to meet Santa Claus during a live stream on Visit Finland’s official social media profiles.
December 14-20: Private chat with Santa Claus.
