The Brussels 20km run was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and this year’s event was postponed from May. However, it will finally go ahead this year on Sunday 12th September, but with a few fun new changes to the event.
This year for the 41st edition of the Brussels 20km, not only are walkers invited for the first time, with the time limit to complete the course increased from four to six hours, but participants can choose to enter the race in person or virtually. The physical event will of course take place in Belgium’s capital, with the route once again taking runners and walkers past Brussels’ best spots.
However, to enable people to enter from anywhere, the Brussels 20km will also be possible to enter virtually via the atlasGO app. Virtual participants will have one week between the 12th and 19th of September to run or walk 20kms on the app, meaning they can complete the route in their own time, wherever they want.
Tickets for the event cost €25, and this includes access to the app as well as an official medal, which people will receive via post following the race.
