Ryanair and easyJet have announced their newest flight routes for the Summer of 2027. Overall, the airlines have added 47 routes between them both, giving travellers a range of new budget-friendly options when planning their Summer holidays.
Although the Winter season hasn’t begun just yet, airlines and holidaymakers alike love to plan ahead. Ticket sales for the Summer of 2027 are thus already starting to take off, so no better time to launch a series of new flight routes.
Budget carrier Ryanair has launched 29 routes for the Summer 2027 so far and is already speaking of a bumper schedule. The airline will cover 2,500 routes across 230 destinations, delivering a myriad of options for its 214 million annual customers across Europe.
“Ryanair is pleased to launch the first 29 new routes of what is set to be a bumper Summer 2027 schedule, giving our cost-savvy customers an early opportunity to start planning next year’s getaways. These are the first of our new Summer 2027 routes to go on sale, with more exciting additions to be announced as Ryanair continues to expand Europe’s largest route network. Customers looking to secure the lowest fares for their Summer 2027 travel should head to the Ryanair app/website and book now to get ahead of the curve,” said Ryanair CMO Dara Brady.
easyJet, too, has announced a selection of new routes departing from the United Kingdom. For its 2027 expansion, the carrier seems to be concentrating its efforts on Spain, launching no less than six new routes. easyJet currently serves 22 UK airports, offering more than 650 routes to 139 destinations from the United Kingdom to Europe and beyond.
“We’re delighted to be offering 18 new routes and package holidays for summer 2027, which shows our commitment to providing customers across the UK with more choice from their local airport. Our Spanish network is greatly expanding with six new routes from the UK, including Girona for the first time, and we’re also further strengthening our presence in Scotland, where we’re already the largest airline, with six new routes from Aberdeen and Edinburgh Airports,” said Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager.
Aside from easyJet and Ryanair, other airlines, too, are planning on extending their schedules for the Summer of 2027. American Airlines, United Airlines, and Azerbaijan Airlines are among those planning to add direct flights to and from Europe.
