Romania’s Bran Castle is offering free Covid-19 vaccine shots to its visitors, who then would be able to visit the medieval torture chambers for free.
Travel Weekly Asia reported that, as part of the Romania’s drive to encourage more locals to get vaccinated, the 14th-century Bran Castle is now a Covid-19 vaccine center. Visitors can get their vaccine shots without making any appointments, while getting free entry to the castle’s exhibit of 52 medieval torture instruments.
The idea was to show how people got jabbed 500-600 years ago in Europe

The Romanian government has indicated plans to vaccinate 10 million of its population by September. Yet nearly half of them are opposing the vaccine, reported the BBC. Bran Castle hopes to change that with its unique initiative.
According to Reuters, the Castle management hopes that the offer will bring more people to the site in Romania’s Carpathian mountains, where tourist numbers have dropped since the start of the pandemic.
This initiative is also aimed at increasing the number of visitors coming to the Transylvanian attraction, where tourist numbers have dropped dramatically due to the pandemic.
