The popular Rocky Mountaineer train travel company is adding an additional route to its repertoire in 2021, offering passengers a new two-day journey that will connect Denver and Moab, Utah, with an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
The company is adding the Rockies to the Red Rocks route to its existing three routes which run in western Canada. The new will launch with a preview season of 40 departures over a period of 10 weeks, beginning August 15 and running until October 23, and pricing starts from $1,250 plus tax per person. Rocky Mountaineer are currently working with local suppliers in order to design and create custom holiday packages for passengers, such as tours, activities and stays in Denver and Moab.
Steve Sammut, president and CEO of Rocky Mountaineer stated, ‘The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact on the travel industry, and there is continued uncertainty of when tourism will recover.’ Adding, ‘However, we believe American travellers, and those from around the world, will be eager to explore this region by rail with us, and we look forward to welcoming them in 2021 and beyond’.
