Princess Cruises has unveiled the itinerary for its 111-day World Cruise 2024, which opens for sale on November 11, 2021. The voyage will be operated by the 2,200-passenger, 92,822-ton Island Princess cruise ship. It will sail roundtrip from North America, departing Fort Lauderdale on January 4, 2024, and Los Angeles on January 18, 2024.
The itinerary includes 51 destinations in 27 countries and six continents: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and North America. Countries visited will include New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Israel, Greece, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Canary Islands, Costa Rica and more. “Embarking on a Princess World Cruise to experience the globe’s marquis ports and hidden gems” said Deanna Austin, Princess Cruises chief commercial officer, to Travel + Leisure.

On the full World Cruise, Island Princess will sail more than 33,000 nautical miles in 111 days. The ship will make 12 inaugural calls in Galilee/Haifa, Bali (Benoa), Crete (Heraklion), Mykonos, Naples (for Capri and Pompeii), Florence / Pisa (Livorno), Genoa (Milan), Villefranche, Lisbon. Agadir, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Bermuda. A 97-day world cruise from Los Angeles to Ft. Lauderdale is also offered, sailing on January 18, 2024.
The voyage will visit 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Acropolis of Athens, the Cartagena Port Fortress and the ancient Greek city of Ephesus in Turkey. You will cross the equator twice.
According to Travel + Leisure, Princess Cruises currently requires guests to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before boarding through at least February 28th 2022. In addition, individuals sailing out of the United States have to show a negative PCR or antigen test not older than 48 hours before boarding.
Fares for the 2024 World Cruise start at $21,079 per person. Guests who book the 97- or 111-day world cruise by Jan. 31, 2022 receive early booking benefits, including tipped beverages; unlimited Wi-Fi; full daily gratuities for crew; first-class airfare for guests booked in suites, Club Class or mini-suites to and from Los Angeles or Fort Lauderdale; economy airfare for guests booking a balcony stateroom; $500 shipboard spending credit; free specialty dining up to four times.
