Anyone kicking themselves for missing out on cheap Eurostar tickets during the operator’s recent flash sale can still find bargains for train getaways this autumn and beyond, if they know where to look.
Trainpal
One way to get discount rail journeys is to book journeys via a ticket-splitting site such as Trainpal, which works with over a thousand trusted transport partners across Europe, including Virgin Trains, Trenitalia, NTV Italo, LNER, GWR, DB, and Renfe. It also offers coach travel. Trainpal claims to offer savings of up to 90%.
What’s more, British newspaper The Independent is promoting the following Trainpal discount codes: “INDY25” can save travellers up to 10% on UK railcards and other journeys, while “INDYEURO” triggers an automatic discount of two or five per cent on bookings made between 22 September and 17 December 2025.

Uber
Rail savings can also be had through Uber until 30 September 2025. Booking Eurostar tickets via Uber will get savvy passengers five per cent off a future car ride, train journey, or even a food order with Uber Eats. The credit should appear in the account used within two months of booking and is valid for another two months.
For those with an Uber One membership, the discount improves further to 10% off. Meanwhile, first-time users are often offered a discount of five per cent, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the banners and pop-ups on screen during the booking process.

Eurostar Snap
For those who can be flexible about which train they take and who do not mind sitting separately, Eurostar Snap is a money-saving option. To economise up to 50% on the price of their ticket, groups of up to four would-be passengers can choose their travel date and a morning or afternoon time window. They will then be allocated a specific departure time by Eurostar, 48 hours ahead.
Be aware, however: with Snap, there’s no guarantee of being seated with other members of one’s group, and tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, refunded, or transferred.
Snap is back. We’re reintroducing Eurostar Snap – a service which offers exclusive fares to travellers who can be flexible with their travel times. Find out more: https://t.co/8wE3GYYhH5 pic.twitter.com/AkPDG5eIFD

Discount alerts
If playing the long game is an option, it’s a good idea to sign up for Eurostar’s newsletter, which will give subscribers a heads up every time a flash sale or special offer is on the cards, as well as access to exclusive deals and discounts.
Wait for competition to hot up
Alternatively, bargain hunters should keep an eye out for the advent of competitors on the trans-Channel lines Eurostar serves. Six rival firms have now put themselves and various routes forward: Evolyn, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS Group), Gemini, Getlink, London St Pancras Highspeed (formerly HS1), and Virgin.
Experts predict the eventual increase in train and route supply to bring down prices. As FS Italiane Group chief executive Stefano Antonio Donnarumma said: ‘‘More competition will help to create a more efficient and customer-oriented industry, offering a real alternative to air travel.”
