La Terrasse O2 in Brussels is back. A large and highly stylized terrace in the neighborhood of Uccle has restarted operations on Friday June 4th and will remain open until July 31st.
According to The Brussels Times, the organizing company, Simply Better, is trying to get back into business after a difficult year. The company lost 90% of its turnover on its core business (creating events for companies) since March 2020.
The budget for this particular edition is around 600,000 euros and is financed entirely from its own funds. There are no public subsidies, and we had a significant drop in sponsorship

Only four people will be seated at a table, with distance respected between each table, and customers will be requested to use an app to process their order to limit contact with waiters. The Brussels Times reports that some 70 seasonal positions have been created.
We are hoping to benefit from the Euro football tournament and the Olympic Games, which will be broadcast on a giant screen

La Terrasse O2 welcomes an average of 70,000 visitors each year. According to the Brussels Times, the one-million-visitor mark was reached in 2019. La Terrase O2 will be open to the public for the remaining of June and until July 31st. The opening hours are from 12 noon until 11.30pm.
