Berlin-based NUMA Group, Europe’s leading fully digital boutique apartment operator and technology developer, has launched the NUMA brand in the Benelux region, with the opening of a hotel in Brussles.
For its launch in Brussels, the group has secured an elegant historic building in a prime location right on Place Rouppe, home to the iconic Rouppe Fountain. NUMA Lief, the new, fully digitized boutique apartment complex in Brussels, offers 90 premium beds in a total area of 2,500 square meters.
For NUMA, Brussels, as the headquarters of the European Union, is an ideal starting point for our expansion into the Benelux region.
Dimitri Chandogin, President of NUMA Group

“On day one of our market launch in Brussels, we are delighted to be able to offer our guests the newly opened NUMA Lief, a historic building in a prime location. As Europe’s leading provider of high-quality tourist accommodation, we are also looking for suitable buildings in prime locations in cities such as Amsterdam and Luxembourg, and, from 2023, in Paris. It is our clear goal to establish a new generation of high-end tourist accommodation and thus innovate the industry in the Benelux countries too”, said Dimitri Chandogin, President of NUMA Group.
There’s no annoying wait at a front desk at this new hotel either. Guests use their smartphones to check-in and check-out, to unlock their rooms and to communicate with the guest services. NUMA Boutique Apartments are also suitable for extended stays and remote working, thanks to their high-speed Wi-Fi internet access.

The company with a brand attitude of “bring some soul to travel” provides innovative design accommodations for modern travellers. A trusted partner for investors, owners, and developers, NUMA uses proprietary technology-based operating solutions that largely automate operations and increase cost efficiencies and revenues. The innovative technology solutions offer a superior guest experience and reduce operating costs by up to 60%.
The group successfully operates over 3,000 units in European A-cities, including Berlin, Munich, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and Vienna. With the expansion into the Benelux countries, the NUMA continues to implement its growth strategy in Europe. In April 2021, the German company launched its international expansion in Spain, followed swiftly by the acquisition of a local operator. As part of its strategy, NUMA targets highly frequented neighbourhoods and responds to key demand drivers for tourists and business travellers in European hotspots.
