Treehouse Hotels has announced the opening of its first property in the US. Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley, located in Sunnyvale, California, will open on 1 March 2025.
Part of SH Hotels & Resorts and famous for its playful and nostalgic aesthetic, the Treehouse in California will debut with 111 rooms and plans to expand to 154 rooms in the future. Each room is designed to accommodate dreamers and travellers alike. Another highlight will be the venue spaces spanning over 650 square metres, accommodating gatherings and events of all nature.
The Treehouse in Silicon Valley will also introduce Valley Goat, a new restaurant led by Stephanie Izard, the first woman to win Top Chef. The restaurant will be offering a seasonally rotating menu emphasizing Northern California’s local ingredients. The hotel will be home to the Beer Garden as well, which will serve over 30 craft beers as well as cocktails and organic wines.
In keeping with the Treehouse brand’s emphasis on sustainability and rustic charm, the hotel’s outdoor spaces include pool furniture crafted from reclaimed tree trunks. The hotel’s Arrival Pavilion includes a 1967 Volkswagen Bettle, to further spark memories of the past.
Additionally, the location of the property will allow guests to explore sites such as the Intel Museum and the headquarters of tech giants. And, to further amplify visitor experience, one of the services provided by the hotel is bike rental, which will allow any adventurous soul to ride along Sunnyvale’s routes and tap into locations such as Baylands Park or Murphy Avenue.
“Treehouse Hotels are about remembering your special refuge, your “treehouse,” real or imaginary! You brought your best friends and new friends to your playground, finding beauty in broken toys, playing games mindlessly, with boundless enthusiasm, acting out your dreams, and escaping the noise of the world outside,” said Barry Sternlicht, Founder and Chairman of SH Hotels & Resorts.
The first Treehouse opened 5 years ago, in 2019, in London’s Marylebone district. Since then, the hotel has received multiple awards for its unique design, which blends creativity and charm. The brand is expected to also open another UK outpost in Manchester next year, with upcoming projects in Australia and Saudi Arabia.
