On Friday, July 31st, a violent brawl occurred on a KLM flight bound for Ibiza when two inebriated passengers refused to wear their masks. The flight departed from Amsterdam Schiphol and was expected to land at Ibiza airport in the late afternoon.
The referred events were caught on film and shared on social media. Several Dutch TV channels covered the unfortunate event on Saturday and Sunday.
A passenger on board, helped the cabin crew control the unruly individuals when the plane landed, and held them until further indications could be received from the airport.
Spanish authorities detained the two passengers upon arrival for putting in danger the safety of fellow passengers, and for refusing to wear face masks to prevent the spread of Covid-19. KLM for its part confirmed the incident on Sunday, August 2nd.
