Following its first look revealed by Walt Disney Studios in August 2019, the first trailer has now been released for Disney’s new ‘Cruella’ film. The live-action prequel to the classic ‘101 Dalmations’ is directed by Craig Gillespie (“I, Tonya”), and stars Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil.
Playing a ‘brilliant’, ‘bad’ and ‘a little bit mad’ de Vil, Stone plays alongside actors such as Emma Thompson, (as fashion legend Baroness von Hellman), as well as Joel Fry, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Paul Walter Hauser.

The film reveals the dark and twisted origins of the infamous villainess from 1961’s ‘101 Dalmatians’. With her signature black and white hair along with some eccentric 70s punk-rock looks, de Vil is an aspiring fashion designer who attempts to make a name herself in ruthless, wicked ways, even if that means making coats from Dalmatian puppies. ‘I am woman, hear me roar’ she declares in the trailer.
‘Cruella’ is set to premiere on May 28th 2021.
