To celebrate the premiere of the new chapters of “Sex and the City”, award-winning actress and producer Sarah Jessica Parker will open the doors of Carrie Bradshaw’s New York City apartment in partnership with Airbnb and Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The new series’ is called “And Just Like That”, and has been long-awaited by fans all over the world. There’s a small caveat, however. Because of Covid-19 restrictions, only US residents are able to visit the apartment.
According to Airbnb, guests will be able to access the closet of a lifestyle icon and enjoy fabulous, friendship-focused experiences such as brunch in Chelsea and a fashion photo shoot.
The character of Carrie Bradshaw holds a very special place in my heart, and revisiting her world to continue the story of The Sex and the City has been a great joy
Sarah Jessica Parker
The actress will host two one-night stays on November 12 and 13 for two guests. Carrie’s apartment has been recreated for the occasion, at the symbolic price of $23 (about 20 euros) per night, in honor of the 23 years that have passed since the fashion icon and her three friends appeared on TV.
During the stays, guests will be immersed in the “Sex and the City” environment: the visit starts with a virtual welcome by Sarah Jessica Parker herself, with a message that will make guests reflect on how they would do the introductions to the episodes of the series that have become a symbol of an era.
I’m very happy that our audience will get to experience New York City, putting on literally Carrie’s shoes, for the first time
Sarah Jessica Parker
Guests will have the chance to enjoy Carrie’s iconic closet and try on some of her favorite looks (like the famous pink tutu she wears in the opening credits), her top fashion designers, not to mention her shoes. The dress and undress includes a photo and styling session to keep as souvenir.
The sensation of walking down the building’s brownstone stairs and strolling through the streets of Manhattan is also included in the itinerary, as well as a quick stop at a bar for a round of Cosmopolitans.
To celebrate Carrie’s return to the screen, Airbnb will also make a donation to the Studio Museum in Harlem (a contemporary art museum that champions the works of artists of African descent). Potential guests will be able to make reservations for these stays starting Monday, November 8th, at noon (Eastern Time) on Airbnb’s page.
