Nowadays, people from around the world are doing the best they can to support Ukraine and its people. Countries are taking in refugees, people are booking AirBnb’s in Kyiv, others organise charitable concerts, everyone is trying to donate, one way or another.
For this purpose, Citizen Brick, a website printing custom made LEGO figures, decided to create a Zelensky figurine, as well as some toy Molotov cocktails, the proceeds from which they donated to Direct Relief “to assist their efforts to bring medical supplies to those in need.” The sale started on 5 March, The Zelensky “minifigs” sold for $100 each, while a Molotov cocktail was $10.
As you may have noticed, the minifigs sold out almost immediately. We made as many as possible in a frantic 24 hrs, with the CB crew coming in on their day off to print.

The figurines quickly sold out and, while Citizen Brick apologised to the people who did not manage to get their own mini-Zelensky, they encouraged people to simply make a direct donation to Direct Relief, or another charity. “We know there were some folks who tried to get one and couldn’t. We hope they’ll consider making a direct donation to a relevant charity nonetheless. Please be patient as we try to get everyone’s order out this week.”
Thanks for proving, once again, that we have the best customers in the world.

After the first batch of LEGOs raised over $16,000, the company decided to print more, with the goal of raising another $100,000. The second time was just as successful, Citizen Brick managing to gather almost $150,000.
Since the war started, Direct Relief, a California based humanitarian non-profit organisation, has managed to provide over 80 tons of medicine and supplies to aid the Ukrainians in need.
