On 4 April 2026, the tunnel complex underneath Brussels’ Cinquantenaire Park will be the scene of a 9-hour rave. Party goers will thus temporarily replace the usual never-ending amount of traffic in what will be a celebration of electronic music.
The tunnel complex beneath the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels is well-known to anyone who regularly travels to the Belgian capital by car. The central location of the tunnels means they have become one of the most important traffic arteries in the Belgian capital, characterised by a never-ending amount of cars and traffic jams. In the midst of the night, however, when calm returns, some more poetically-minded people can’t help but see some brutalist beauty in the starkly-lit location.
On Saturday, 4 April 2026, that poetic potential will be put to good use. For once, the tunnels will not be accessible to vehicles and will instead become the centre-stage for an electronic music festival organised by Listen Festival and Hangar. Through the event, the two Brussels music organisations once again show their strength in organising what is set to turn into an unforgettable night – in 2024, they already put together something similar in the tunnels underneath Place Louise.
Although the line-up of the evening remains unknown at the time of writing, the main musical guest of the event has already been unveiled: Dutch DJ and producer KI/KI, who was named a Spotify Global Equal Ambassador and became the first woman to win the Dutch Edisons Pop Award.
“KI/KI has taken the world of dance-music by storm in the last few years with her electrifying DJ sets, hybrid performances and live shows that dig deep into classic trance, techno and acid. From the dark depths of acid techno to the euphoric highs of trance, from the queer underground to international festival stages, she is a true master of contrasts. In the space of just a few years, KI/KI has emerged as one of the most exciting and influential voices in electronic music. The slash in her name – KI/KI – isn’t just a symbol. It’s a mission statement, a meeting point between nostalgia and the new. With an array of new music on the horizon and an international fanbase growing fast, KI/KI continues to expand her universe – always on the edge between extremes, always in motion”, Listen Festival writes.
Pre-registrations for the event are open and will give exclusive access to the ticket sale on 10 March at 12:00 pm. Those who have not pre-registered will be able to buy their tickets as early as 12:00 pm on 11 March 2026.
