Brussels Airport has confirmed six new destinations and seven new airlines for its summer season at Brussels Airport, taking the number of direct routes offered by the Belgian international hub to 180.
Served by 68 airlines, the airport schedule’s new offering includes both European and intercontinental destinations. France gets two new Belgian air connections, in Montpellier and Bordeaux, while Atlanta (United States), Curaçao, Bangkok (Thailand), and Hong Kong (China) also feature on the list of additions for 2025.
New airlines
New partners being welcomed at Brussels Airport include Thai Airways and Cathay Pacific which “complete” an Asian network from the European capital that boasts routes to Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong (China), and Singapore. In addition to the benefits of direct flights, the airport points out that its new Asian destinations “also provide one-stop holiday routes for travellers to destinations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand.”
After flying to Tromsø last winter, Norwegian will start a direct route to Oslo, the Norwegian capital, from June. Air Albania (Tirana), Chalair (Brive), FlyOne Armenia (Yerevan), and Transavia (Bordeaux, Montpellier) are all hailed in a press release as “further strengthening Brussels Airport’s network this summer.”

Expansion from long-term partners
Existing partners are expanding operations too. Brussels Airlines now offers flights to 90 destinations, including the newly-added Funchal (Madeira). The airport statement celebrates its flag carrier’s 11th long-haul aircraft, which gives “more capacity than ever towards Sub-Saharan Africa with five additional weekly flights to Africa.”
Meanwhile, TUI is set to fly to 66 direct connections this summer, adding Split (Croatia) to its network, while easyJet is launching two daily flights to Milan and Rome and adding the new destination of Bordeaux to its network. What’s more, Vueling Airlines is launching flights to Florence (Firenze) and offering five destinations in Spain, which Brussels Airport notes is “one of the most popular countries during the summer season.”
Positioning itself as a European gateway, Brussels Airport also highlighted its 39 direct long-haul routes for summer 2025. That includes seven to North America (Atlanta, New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington, Montreal and Toronto); three to Central America (Cancun, Curaçao, and Punta Cana); 18 in sub-Saharan Africa; four Gulf destinations (Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Jeddah); and seven in Asia (Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Singapore).
