In partnership with Disneyland Resort, Alaska Airlines has unveiled its newest Disney-themed aircraft, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer, which invites travellers to begin their dream adventure the moment they board, making the flight part of the experience.
Inspired by The Princess and the Frog from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the new livery embodies Tiana’s adventurous spirit and celebrates her entrepreneurial story. It also marks the launch of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a water-based and musical attraction at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, and soon at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The work covers a Boeing 737–800 and depicts Princess Tiana in her adventurer’s outfit, accompanied by beloved characters such as Louis the Alligator, Prince Naveen and Mama Odie. A trail of glowing fireflies stretches from the nose to the tail of the plane, capturing the magical atmosphere of the bayou. It took artists over 2,000 hours to hand paint all the intricate details that adorn the exterior of the plane.
The aircraft was officially unveiled at a celebratory event at Portland International Airport, where guests got their first look at the new artistic design before the aircraft took off on its maiden flight to Santa Ana, California, home of the Disneyland Resort.
The partnership between Alaska Airlines and Disney is more than 25 years old, and this latest collaboration comes just ahead of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebrations, which begin in May 2025 and run through 2026.
The collaboration is unique in that the aircraft’s striking exterior design is extended into the cabin. This summer, young travellers will be treated to a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed Snack Pack, setting the mood and igniting the magic before they even arrive at the theme park.
Sybil Crum, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at Disneyland Resort, said: “This collaboration celebrates adventure, imagination, and the magic of dreaming big”.
She added that the airline’s commitment to “creating joyful travel experiences aligns perfectly with the values embodied by Princess Tiana’s story”.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer is the latest of a fleet of Disney-themed aircraft operated by Alaska Airlines. These already feature designs inspired by Mickey Mouse, Pixar characters, and Star Wars, as part of the airline’s broader effort to distinguish itself as a family-oriented, imaginative carrier.
This is also the first Disney Princess to star on an Alaska Airlines plane. The aircraft reflects both Tiana’s character and the travel experience the airline seeks to offer, with a message of perseverance, representation, and inspiration.
