With train travel on the rise in Europe, Airbnb announced an opportunity to win the rail trip of a lifetime.
1. Train travel
On its 50th anniversary, Interrail agreed to partner with Airbnb to celebrate the resurgence of train travel in Europe by offering a free pass for 6 persons. After two years of pandemic-induced quarantine and social distancing, people continue eager to travel and to embark on new cultural experiences. Boosted by environmental concerns, trains are becoming more and more popular among European travellers.
We clearly see a rising demand for this kind of travel – this year alone, we’ve seen the number of travelers exceed that of 2019 pre-pandemic levels. We’re thrilled to partner with Airbnb and to advocate for the positive impact rail travel can have in the world.

By combining the very best of train travel with the best of heritage in Europe, we hope travelers will reconnect with history and culture and enjoy travel as it once was.
