Airbnb is massively expanding its offer, moving into the airport pickup, car hire, grocery delivery, and luggage storage, as well as adding AI-powered planning into the mix, as it aims to become a one-stop-holiday-shop.
The app-for-everything approach means that in 25 cities across the United States users can now book grocery delivery to arrive just in time for their vacation, via Instacart. Meanwhile, travellers in 160 cities around the world can do their airport ride-hailing in advance with Welcome Pickups, getting 20% off the price.

For those who need to store their luggage, Airbnb is providing Bounce at more than 15,000 locations globally. And for car renters, from summer 2026, Airbnb will suggest the best vehicle for your trip and group, and first-time reservations receive 20% credit to spend on a future stay or experience.
The brand expansion also grows the Airbnb Experiences and Services arm of the business, offering boutique and independent hotels, alongside treats such as special-access tickets to the men’s FIFA World Cup in six different host cities, watch parties with players, or training sessions with world-renowned football managers.

Foodies will notice an increased menu of experiences too, as Airbnb partners with Chef’s Table and Grand Central Market. Chef Gianfranco Pascucci of the Michelin-starred Pascucci al Porticciolo in Rome is available for a six-course food and wine pairing, among the now 3,000 curated experiences worldwide.
Explaining the brand expansion, Airbnb Chief Business Officer Dave Stephenson told FOX Business, “We want to bring a little bit of magic to every trip you’re on.” The firm also wants to tap into popular demand. According to the platform, guests have given their experiences a 4.93/5 rating.
The changes will also bring more AI to the app, with new social and group-planning tools. The “Trips” tab will display bookings and put them in context near local attractions, eateries, and experiences, making it more intuitive to build an itinerary.

And summer 2026 will see the arrival of the new Airbnb travel map and “connections” feature, allowing users to share where they have stayed with friends, browse each other’s reviews and reservations, and message each other for advice, recommendations, and to make plans together.
Commenting on the shared planning tools, Stephenson added: “These group itineraries — I think it’s going to be a really cool new feature that people will find really valuable, because when you travel in Airbnb, you tend to travel with family and friends.”
