A new weekly semi-private jet service from Los Angeles to the pristine beaches of the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea will soon be available to all travellers.
Created through a partnership between the luxury resort and semi-private jet company Aero, the service promises holidays and pampering almost on your doorstep.
Flights are scheduled to begin in November, in time for Thanksgiving, and will carry visitors aboard the 12-seater Gulfstream IV aircraft from Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles to Kahului Airport in Maui. Departures from California are scheduled for Saturday mornings, with return flights from Hawaii on Sunday afternoons.
In a statement to Travel+Leisure, Charlie Parker, the regional vice president for the Four Seasons, explained that the collaboration is an extension of the “signature Four Seasons Resort Maui experience into the skies, [to create] a seamless transition from city to sanctuary”. The aim is for guests to arrive “refreshed and ready to be immersed in the authentic Hawaii culture that awaits them at the resort”.

The journey from Los Angeles to Maui typically takes around five and a half hours; one-way tickets start at $5,495, firmly placing the experience in the ultra-luxury category.
However, travellers can expect the full experience once aboard. This includes Hawaii-sourced breakfasts and lunches catered by Erewhon, the cult LA organic grocery store famous for its celebrity smoothies and premium health foods, as well as a fully stocked open bar with a premium selection of wines, beers and cocktails. Guests also have access to Wi-Fi and receive a complimentary amenity bag containing spa-curated flight essentials and other surprises. Another valuable bonus that will make a big difference to many is Aero’s pet-friendly policy.

The benefits of the new service continue after landing. Guests will enjoy a dedicated concierge service from the resort, daily breakfast for two, up to $800 in resort credit and complimentary room upgrades with a late check-out. Throughout their stay, VIP Relations expert Jacqueline Nelson will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. In Los Angeles, the experience also includes valet parking and a carwash, meaning travellers will return from their holiday to find their vehicle as refreshed and pampered as they are.

Another advantage of the new route is access to a private terminal, which allows passengers to avoid the crowds, queues and hustle and bustle of commercial airports for a seamless journey.
This is the first time that Aero has offered this service on this route, and the company’s CEO, Ben Klein, promises to “provide an unparalleled experience offering comfort and convenience that is traditionally only found in the world of private charters”.
The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea boasts 383 rooms, an adults-only infinity pool, a stunning stretch of beach and a range of activities including snorkelling, paddleboarding and pickleball, as well as Hawaiian cultural activities such as lei making and hula lessons.

The latter provides visitors with an excellent way to keep their waistline in check after enjoying the delicious food available at any of the property’s restaurants, including Spago, Ferraro’s, DUO and KOMO, which are regularly among the most acclaimed in the United States.
Does it sound like arriving on Fantasy Island? Perhaps it does. While the package may not deliver everything you could wish for, it will certainly fulfil more than a few of your dreams.
