There are a lot of different kinds of travelers out there. Some prefer to go away for months in a row, keeping costs to a minimum, maybe even picking up some little jobs on the way to make ends meet. Others go to their usual campsite two weeks a year with their caravan, the kids and an inflatable pool. There are city trippers out there, those who always go for an all-in option and the fervent cycling tourists. And even though we could go on for a while, let’s come to the type of traveler we’ll be aiming at today: the luxury lover, the one who can never have enough.
Of course, we’re well aware of the fact that this kind of travel is not for everyone. We simply can’t all afford to spend multiple hundreds, maybe thousands of euros on something like a hotel room. When you think of it, it’s absolutely absurd. Yet if you have the cash, why not treat yourself to a nice little sleepover? To the perfect bed with the most splendid view and all the extras you can dream of? And even if you’re not stinking rich, it may happen that you’ve got something to celebrate and want to spend a little more on an evening out.
Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp
Whatever may be your case, one thing’s for sure, Antwerp’s first five star hotel – called Botanic Sanctuary – is one you wouldn’t quickly forget. As the name would suggest, the building is located next to the botanical garden at the Mechelseplein and, apart from 108 beautiful rooms, guests can relax at the spa, have a work out at the gym, enjoy an unforgettable dinner at one of the four different restaurants and even combine business with pleasure by booking a meeting room. In short, you could spend your whole day being surrounded by nothing other than pure luxury.
All good, yet what does is look like? What does it cost? Is it worth the price? Well, we won’t be able to answer that question just yet, because the hotel only opens November 4th and we haven’t been able to test it. With prices ranging from 255 all the way to 4030 euros a night (for a 1,450 square meter room including a private spa), well, whether or not it’s worth your money probably all depends on what you spend. You better hope you get an unforgettable stay in return. And as for the aesthetics, have a look for yourself!
