Expedia has unveiled its Island Hot List, focusing on a refreshing selection of islands across the world gaining attention among travellers. Discover which islands to travel to next, from romantic St. Lucia to affordable Phu Quoc.
For the second year in a row, travel platform Expedia has put together a list of islands across the globe that are gaining in popularity. The 2026 Island Hot List is based on Expedia flight search data and offers a great amount of inspiration to those who are still looking for their next destination.
“Islands don’t just satisfy the urge to get away; they can also be one of the smartest holiday values, thanks to all-inclusive resorts and bundle savings on Expedia. The list was finalised until a destination generated so much buzz from football fans that we had to give it an award of its own,” said Melanie Fish, Head of Expedia Group Brands Public Relations.
The 10 trending islands to visit in 2026 according to Expedia:
1. St. Lucia: Best For Romantic Escapes
