The holiday season is in full swing, bringing with it a magical atmosphere of twinkling lights, festive events, and dazzling decorations. Across the globe, cities are aglow, families are making plans, and the excitement of the most wonderful time of the year fills the air. As people gear up to celebrate, companies are also busy finalizing their preparations to ensure that this season is truly special. Among them is holiday operator TUI, which has revealed its plans to spread the festive cheer to travellers looking for unforgettable holiday experiences.
The company has revealed how it plans to operate, focusing on travellers who have booked a festive break. To ensure they will bring the Christmas mood to any voyagers, TUI Airways will be serving 15,000 hot chocolates aboard its flights. This decision comes at a time when days get shorter and colder, and we all need a warm, comfortable drink to keep us cosy.
For everyone who is going to Lapland, known for its Arctic landscapes, Northern Lights, and being the home of Santa Claus, there will be a festive Christmas dinner in the sky with all the trimmings. To ensure that the company is well prepared for the celebrations, TUI has prepared 469 kg of Brussels sprouts, 1,000 pigs in blankets, and 1,297 kg of roast potatoes.
Additionally, the festivities will extend beyond air travel. The Marella Cruises fleet of five ships will be sailing to the Caribbean offering destinations such as the US Virgin Islands, Lanzarote and Kingstown in Jamaica. The fleet plans to dish out an incredible 5,000 turkey Christmas meals during a three-hour service on Christmas Day, accompanied by 1,000 kg of potatoes and 1,500 kg of Brussels sprouts served throughout December. Additionally, to complete the holiday feasts, a total of 18,000 mince pies will be baked.
One of the cruises that will be part of the festive sailing is “A Canarian Christmas”. The trip, lasting seven nights, will depart from Las Palmas, in Gran Canaria, on Marella Explorer. The price for this experience is 1,695 euro per person for an all-inclusive experience. Travellers will have the opportunity to explore other locations such as Madeira, Fuerteventura, Santa Cruz de La Palma, and Tenerife, as the ship will be stopping at the above-mentioned locations.
