Life is full of stress. Even though some of us are able to shake it off and always see the positive side of things, many among us can sometimes have difficulties dealing with everything. Between work, finances and personal stuff, there’s a lot that can go wrong or – even without going wrong – that can cause tension. Knowing that stress isn’t exactly good for your (mental) health, being able to relax on a regular basis is more important than ever. And luckily, there are many ways to let off steam if you need to.
Going for a run, making a trip abroad or within your own country, participating in a yoga session, reading a book… The possibilities are endless and we all (should) have our own ways in which we calm down. And if you’re a fan of massages, we’ve got great news because you can now get a duo massage with your dog. Yes, that’s right.
More often than not, duo massages are a thing reserved for couples only. Of course you could take one with your best friend, your mother or your sibling but if we’re being honest, not that many people feel comfortable lying naked next to someone who’s not their romantic partner. And that’s okay: as massages are meant to make you feel relaxed, there’s no need to do anything that does the opposite.
However, if you don’t like to get a massage on your own, if you’ve got a dog and if you want to make that pet feel great, Laurane has got the solution for you. With her massage studio 1HEUREPOURSOI not only does she do at home massages in Brussels, Namur and the surrounding areas but she has quite a unique treatment on offer as well. Because contrary to most massage therapists, she does also give massages to your favourite dog.
How does that work, you ask? Well, Laurane comes to your house as usual and during the first hour, she concentrates solely on you to make sure you’ll be as relaxed and pain-free as usual afterwards. Then, she starts working on your pet. Laurane was trained by a veterinary osteopath and will work with your pet for about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the needs of your dog. To make sure he or she is as comfortable as possible, the massage takes place on their favourite throw or cushion and of course without oil in this case. Also good to know: in case your pet refuses to be massaged, only your own massage will be billed. After all, no one wants to force that dog to do something they’re not comfortable with!
