The Ciel hotel, the next world’s tallest hotel, is set to open in Dubai in 2024. Once completed, the 365-meter hotel will have 82 floors, and will house over 1,000 guestrooms and suites.
Designed by award-winning London-based architect NORR, Ciel will feature a striking design and contemporary interiors. Dining venues will include an all-day restaurant on the 13th floor, a Sunset Lounge on the 74th floor, a Bar on the 76th floor featuring a rooftop infinity pool, and Ciel Observatory & Lounge on the 82nd floor, offering breathtaking 360-degree vistas across Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf. Ciel will also offer a luxury spa and health club on the 54th floor.
The hotel’s construction is financed by The First Group’s chief development partner, China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC). The architectural masterpiece is the latest landmark addition to the Marina district’s world-famous skyline, and The First Group’s largest and most luxurious project to date.
To date, the world’s highest hotel is the Gevora Hotel in the Trade Center Area of Dubai. The Gevora Hotel is 356 meters tall and has 528 deluxe rooms and suites. Once completed, Ciel will beat Dubai’s former record holder by nine meters.
Guests will experience “panoramic views of the coastline and iconic landmarks including the Palm Jumeirah (man-made island),” a spokesperson for The First Group said.
With 52 of its floors already completed, the Ciel hotel is currently halfway built, meaning that its construction plan is well on track. The structure is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2023, while the grand opening is scheduled for the first half of 2024.
Ciel has already been awarded for Best International Hotel Architecture, Best Hotel Architecture Arabia and Best High-rise Architecture Arabia at 2019 International Property Awards held in London.
