In order to help the tourist sector, which has been affected by the coronavirus crisis, authorities in Wallonia have set aside 5 million euros to offer tourist passes worth 80 €. There will be a total of 60,000 Visit Wallonia passes. The goal is to incentivize people to visit Wallonia this autumn, and invite all audiences to (re)discover what the region has to offer.
1. How to get the pass
Anyone wishing to obtain a pass will be able to apply for one free of charge on the Visitwallonia website from 5 October 2020.
After filling out the appropriate form on the site, the household will receive a QR code on their e-mail address, representing the 80 € voucher (limited to 1 pass per household).
20,000 passes worth € 80 will be issued each month from October to December. When the stock of passes is exhausted for the month, one needs to file a request the following month (from November 1st, and from December 1st).
For those who do not have internet or an e-mail address, registration can nevertheless be done online with the help of a family member, friend or acquaintance.
2. Where to use it
These passes will be valid with no minimum purchase from Walloon tourist service providers who have subscribed to the campaign (more than 400 at present, the list of participants is updated daily on the site).
These Walloon tourist operators belong to the accommodation, attractions, museums or leisure activities sector, most of which are authorized by the General Commissariat for Tourism. In addition, there are also Walloon coach operators, members of the Belgian Federation of Bus and Coach Operators, who offer travel options in Wallonia.

3. How to use it
All one need to do is to show the QR code (on a smartphone, tablet, or printed version) to the chosen tourist operator. The latter will scan the QR code of the value of the service.
It can be used at once or in a fragmented way with several tourist operators (the latter will debit the pass as it goes along).
The pass will be valid for one month from the date of issue of the QR code. It will not be transferable, exchangeable or refundable.
