A South Carolina woman who went viral on social media after having shared a flirtatious note from a pilot has now apologised for putting him in the spotlight.
Traveller and influencer Steph Bohrer initially posted a video on TikTok, where she shared a remarkable experience she had while waiting at the Atlanta airport in Georgia. A pilot walked up to her table and put a napkin in front of Bohrer, who was eating a sandwich with her friend Maya at the time, before rapidly walking away.

On the napkin, the pilot had written a flirtatious message, saying: “I have seen the whole world and you are the most beautiful human in it.”
Even though the video was only 11 seconds long, it immediately grabbed the internet’s attention and the clip went viral, even reaching national television. An outcome the influencer hadn’t suspected.
In a new video, she now apologises for putting the pilot in the spotlight and she also clears up a few details. According to Bohrer, she did not see the pilot herself: it was her friend and travelling partner Maya who got a glimpse of the man, who she describes as “short an blond”.

“I don’t think he wanted this to be on the news, and I’m really sorry. He just was giving me a compliment,” Bohrer says in her TikTok video.
Moreover, she specifies the pilot didn’t share his name nor number.
“I don’t even know his name, signature, anything. Don’t have his phone number, and it’s OK”, she states.
In the comments on her first video, people had been theorising about why he didn’t speak to her in person or share his personal info, some of them putting forward the idea he might be married. However, Bohrer says people shouldn’t take the napkin for anything more than it is – a nice compliment – and she states she doesn’t wish to be put in contact with him either.
As far as what will be happening to the note, Bohrer plans on framing the napkin and displaying it in her house as a souvenir of the nice gesture.
