Persons entering Denmark fall into the following three categories:
1. Border regions
Persons resident in southern Sweden (Scania and Blekinge), in West Sweden (Halland and West Gothia) or the German border region of Schleswig-Holstein can enter Denmark regardless of the purpose of their entry if their region meets the criteria for being classified as open.
Note that Norway from Saturday 12 December 2020 12.00 am is no longer considered a border country.
If your region is not classified as open, you must either have a worthy purpose or present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before your entry.
2. Open countries
Persons resident in any of the following countries can enter Denmark no matter the purpose.

3. Banned or high-risk countries
List of Banned countries
Banned countries/regions within the EU and the Schengen area as well as the United Kingdom: In the EU, the Schengen area and the United Kingdom, countries or regions of Nordic countries that do not meet the criteria as open, are classified as a banned country/region. Persons resident in countries/regions can enter Denmark, if they have a worthy purpose.

List of high-risk countries
High-risk countries/regions within the EU and the Schengen area as well as the United Kingdom: Countries and regions of Nordic countries with a particularly high number of infected people will be classified as high-risk countries. Persons resident in high-risk countries/regions can enter Denmark if they have a worthy purpose, but they must also present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before entry.

Countries in the rest of the world: Countries outside the EU and the Schengen area as well as the United Kingdom are generally considered high-risk countries. Persons resident in one of these high-risk countries can enter Denmark if they have a worthy purpose, but they must also present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before entry. However, there are a few exceptions which include:
