1. Borders
Bulgaria’s borders are open to travellers arriving from the following locations:

- 🇧🇦 Bosnia Herzegovina
- 🇧🇾 Belarus
- 🇨🇦 Canada
- 🇬🇪 Georgia
- 🇮🇱 Israel
- 🇯🇵 Japan
- 🇰🇼 Kuwait
- 🇲🇩 Moldova
- 🇲🇨 Monaco
- 🇲🇪 Montenegro
- 🇳🇿 New Zealand
- 🇲🇰 North Macedonia
- 🇰🇷 Republic of Korea
- 🇷🇼 Rwanda
- 🇸🇲 San Marino
- 🇷🇸 Serbia
- 🇹🇭 Thailand
- 🇹🇳 Tunisia

Exemptions are in place for diplomats, transport workers and people working in the medical sector.
2. Restrictions
There are two criteria regarding entry to Bulgaria: a) where travel originates from and b) PCR tests.
a) People arriving from the following countries do not need a test
- 🇪🇺 European Union and Schengen parties
- 🇦🇩 Andorra
- 🇦🇺 Australia
- 🇨🇦 Canada
- 🇬🇪 Georgia
- 🇯🇵 Japan
- 🇲🇨 Monaco
- 🇳🇿 New Zealand
- 🇰🇷 Republic of Korea
- 🇷🇼 Rwanda
- 🇸🇲 San Marino
- 🇷🇸 Serbia
- 🇹🇭 Thailand
- 🇹🇳 Tunisia
- 🇹🇷 Turkey
- 🇺🇾 Uruguay
- 🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates
- 🇬🇧 United Kingdom
- 🇻🇦 Vatican City State
b) People arriving from these countries do need the test. The results of the test need to be less than 72 hours old before arriving in Bulgaria.
