On Sunday 27th June, at 12:17 pm CET, TV5 Monde Europe premieres a new episode of Embarquement TV series, exploring the many wonders of Flanders in Belgium, from natural beauty to gastronomic heritage, passing by art and history.
This documentary will take you to a virtual trip through Flanders, beginning in Tervuren, with its beautiful arboretum, before continuing on to more Flemish nature in Bosland, the largest adventure forest in Flanders, with its many unique cycling opportunities.
On the Belgian coast, learn about traditional shrimp fishing performed on horseback in Oostduinkuirke, and the gastronomic delights that Flanders has to offer, from shrimp croquettes to the famous Belgian fries and beer. Continuing on the discovery of Flemish gastronomy, learn about the art of the Belgian brewery, an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in the beautiful city of Bruges, with its rich history and serene canals.
When thinking about the future, an institutional organization like VISITFLANDERS does not start from a blank slate, but takes a different attitude. Our vision of the future of tourism was conceived in a spirit of openness with a desire for balance and with a concern for sustainability. It is based on a participatory, in-depth and co-creative process with a large number of actors from the public and private sectors, from Flanders and elsewhere.
