Drinking a beer with your friends has been a tradition for ages. Whether it’s after a hard week worth of work to release the tension, during the weekend because the weather’s great or while on holiday: it’s always a nice moment to share with your loved ones. And let’s be honest, of course you don’t even need to drink alcohol during such a moment. Whether you go for a pint, an alcohol-free beer or a soda is totally up to you. Yet today, we’re talking about beer and where to get it for cheap.
There are some destinations all over the world where you know your beer won’t cost you much. Yet other times, it can be quite budget consuming to go and grab a pint with your mates. Especially in cities like London or Paris, where prices are on the higher side anyway, it’s a good idea to be on the lookout for a deal. Maybe it’s two for the price of one, maybe the fifth one comes for free, maybe it’s just a surprisingly cheap bar in general. No matter the deal you’re going for, Schlouk Map will tell you where and when to get it.
Schlouck Map
What’s Schlouk Map, you ask? Well, it’s an app showing you the best bars all around you. It tells you a bit more about the ambiance and the budget you’ll need to grab a drink in that particular joint. You could kind of compare it with something like TripAdvisor or Yelp, yet here’s no talk about restaurants or things to do in any sense. The only thing Schlouk Map’s interested in, are drinks. And all that info is available totally for free, both in the App Store and on Android.
Of course, we can’t just talk about the positive points of the app without at least mentioning the negatives. And the one big negative we found is the fact that Schlouk Map’s only available in France, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The approximately 6.400 bars gathered in the app are mainly located in the bigger cities, so if you’re living in the countryside, you’ll have to do your own research. Yet other than that, Schlouk can actually save you quite a bit of money by pointing you in the direction of one of the 2.700 happy hours organized by the aforementioned bars. Oh and it also lets you search by ‘service’, like a pool table or the presence of a terrace. Now it’s just up to you to make sure you don’t go overboard with all those cheap beers…
