A video showing how a passenger gets banned from flying after trying a packing trick has gone viral on TikTok. While boarding his flight at Orlando International Airport, the man gets called out by a flight attending for trying to carry what looks like pillow aboard the plane.
Packing tricks are booming on TikTok. In an attempt to avoid extra charges for luggage, more and more people are trying out different techniques to smuggle some extra personal items aboard. The most famous one is probably wearing all your clothes at once, but comfort is not very high in this case. Another popular move is removing the stuffing from neck pillows, or even regular pillows, and replacing it with clothes, as bringing these aboard is usually free of charge.
The Orlando passenger tried the latter, after all, a regular pillow allows for a lot more filling than a neck pillow. However, as a video shared by @natashaorganic on TikTok shows, his plan didn’t go very well. The man is stopped by a flight attendant when trying to board his flight. Even though the conversation is hard to hear, it is clear that the two are having an argument.
“This dude was trying to take in a pillowcase full of clothing and other items, which he is stating is simply just a pillowcase”, Natasha narrates in the clip. According to her, the flight attendant offered to let the passenger pay the regular extra luggage fee and take his “pillow” on board, but the man turned down the offer. He only changed his mind after the gate closed.
“He waited all the way up until they closed the doors to be like, ‘Okay, I’ll pay for it now,’” Natasha explains in the video. “And then he tried to like bogart his way into the freaking, I don’t know what that’s called, before you get into the plane. And they were like, ‘Bro, back away. We gave you your chance and you didn’t pay for it.’ And they ended up calling the cops on him. And he ended up getting escorted out.”
At the end of the video, Natasha warns everyone not to try out viral packing tricks unless they are prepared to accept the potential consequences.
