Fancy learning a new skill whilst training you mind and body in the art of self defense? Taekwondo Thursdays at the Korean Cultural Centre in Brussels may be just for you!
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art which is characterised by punching and kicking techniques, with an emphasis on head-height kicks and jumping spinning kicks as well as various fast kicking techniques. Literally translated taekwondo means kicking, punching and the art or way of and those practicing the martial art aim to be able to attack or defend themselves using only their hands and feet at anytime, anywhere. The physical aspect of the training is important, but it also puts great significance in fostering the right mind through mental armament.
Throughout June, at Taekwondo Thursdays at the Korean Cultural Centre in Brussels each week you can discover something new about Taekwondo in a series of classes which aim to show the different ways you can enjoy and practice the martial art.
