With the arrival of the Kempinski Floating Palace by 2026, Dubai is not just getting a new five star hotel, but a floating one. Located near the Jumeirah beach, the hotel will feature several luxury features, including a helipad and yacht parking. The main architectural feature of the complex will be a gigantic glass pyramid structure.
As if the concept of a floating hotel and a gigantic glass pyramid structure weren’t enough, the whole complex is bathed in luxury. The hotel will have no less than 200 rooms, divided between four types, ranging from 46 square metres Type A rooms to 232 square metres penthouses.
Other than comfortable hotel rooms, guests will be able to choose between a multitude of extra services on site. Multiple restaurants, shopping outlets, pools and a spa will ensure travellers will have more than enough activities to choose from during their stay. Moreover, thanks to the yacht parking and helipad, an arrival in style can easily be organised.
The Floating Palace will also comprise 48 floating villas, called Neptune by Kempinski villas, which are attached to the main structure by their own pontoons. The villas are equipped with solar energy, waste management system, sewage treatment plant and air purification system. They come in two, three and four-bedroom formats. Even though the villas are being sold, they remain part of the hotel and will therefore be available to rent.
When the plans for the Floating Palace were revealed for the first time in 2021, the scale for the project was a bit smaller. However, because of the great demand, developers Seagate Shipyard and El Bahrawy Group decided to scale up, especially as far as the villa section goes.
“The higher demand for villas and the approval to redesign the entire concept have prompted us to add more units to the villa segment. The hotel’s space and capacity will remain unchanged, maintaining its current status”, Khamis Soliman, CEO of El Bahrawy Group, said in an interview with Arabian Business.
